Film like you've never experienced it before on the King Harry Ferry for the Fal River Festival.
The award-winning Film on the Fal season returns to the King Harry Ferry for the fourth year running as part of the 2012 Truro and Penwith College Fal River Festival.
The event, which runs on Wednesday 6, Thursday 7 and Friday 8 June, sees the world famous ferry transformed into a floating cinema screening watery themed films.
This year’s showings will be; Perfect Storm starring George Clooney; the original Poseidon Adventure starring Gene Hackman; and horror comedy, Lake Placid.
The film evenings are jointly organised by Truro-based event management experts, Event Cornwall, and outdoor screening company, Skylight Mobile Outdoor Cinema.
Event Cornwall’s Amy Weeks, said: 'We’re really excited about this year’s screenings.
'It’s the fourth year we have run the screenings as part of the Truro and Penwith College Fal River Festival and it will be great that we are now showing them over three nights instead of two as there has been so much demand.'
Outdoor screenings
The two organisations also collaborate on the annual Outdoor Screening Season.
Skylight’s Toby Budd said: 'The Outdoor Screenings have proved to be very popular over the last year.
'People want to be able to see great films in stunning locations and being on the ferry in the river watching a movie is perfect.'
All films start at 9.40pm and parking is available at Trelissick Gardens with access down the road to the King Harry Ferry.
Amy added: 'The ferry will leave the Feock side at 9.20pm and the Roseland side at 9.30pm, so please be ready to board at this time.
'Our screenings will go ahead whatever the weather so you will need to wrap up warm and dry, and bring your own seats!'
