Truro and Penwith College announced as the title sponsor for the 2012 Fal River Festival
Truro and Penwith College has been unveiled as the title sponsor for the 2012 Fal River Festival.
The event, which runs from Friday, June 1 to Sunday, June 10, will be known as the Truro and Penwith College Fal River Festival.
Established in 2006, this year’s Festival will encompass over 150 events and will offer a diverse mix of culture, music, arts, food, literature, drama, industry, events, gardens, sports and history.
Helen Mulhern, managing director of Eventy - Marketing & PR and sponsorship and event co-ordinator for the festival, said: 'We’re very excited to have the support of Truro and Penwith College for this year’s festival.
'It is a really good fit for us as the college aims to provide opportunities for a mixture of people and business in Cornwall, much like the festival aims to celebrate with people across the community.
'With their support we will be able to make this the biggest and best festival yet.'

The college takes over from last year’s title sponsors, the Greenbank Hotel.
Truro College’s publicity and marketing officer, Jean Mooney, said: 'Truro and Penwith College is pleased to be part of the Fal River Festival supporting businesses and the local community.
'It’s a great opportunity for our students to be involved and for a large number of people to find out about what a great institution Truro and Penwith College is and what it has to offer.'
Events lined up for this year include the Fal River Walk, Castle to Castle Swim, Fal Fish Festival, the award winning Film on the Fal, and the opening Beer Fleet Parade.
Festival director, Toby Budd, said: 'We’d like to thank Truro and Penwith College for agreeing to support us this year.
'It will make a huge difference to what is already one of the biggest festivals in Cornwall.
'There are still opportunities for businesses to get involved and support us as day sponsors, as well as joining our Friends scheme, or advertising in the programme.'
